HMMWV Family

The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), commonly known as the Humvee, is a family of light, four-wheel drive military vehicles produced by AM General. It was designed to replace a range of earlier light military vehicles, including the M151 Jeep and the M561 "Gama Goat." The Humvee entered service in 1985 and has been produced in over 281,000 units for the U.S. and allied forces.
