T-72M (Object 172M-E2)

The T-72M (Object 172M-E2 / Ob'yekt 172M-E2) is a soviet early export version, similar to the T-72A but with thinner armour and 125 mm D-81T smoothbore tank gun with 44 rounds.

The tank had the 172.10.073SB turret (turret with anti-radiation coating) and a new 16-60-105-60 composite upper front plate (UFP). It also featured a TPD-K1 sight with a laser rangefinder

It was sold to Iraq and to Syria and was also built in Poland by Bumar-Łabędy and Czechoslovakia.
