The M-84AI is an armored recovery vehicle (ARV) based on the M-84A chassis.

The M-84AI was developed in the mid-1990s, notably for Kuwait, and is based on the M-84A hull but with the turret replaced by recovery equipment. The Polish WZT-3 license was bought and Polish parts were used in the M-84AI project.

- dozer blade for vehicle recovery and field repairs.
