BMP-3M Ataka

The BMP-3M with the Ataka missile system represents a further enhancement of the BMP-3M, integrating a dedicated anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).

Ataka Missile System:

• integration of the 9M120 Ataka (AT-9 Spiral-2) missile system
• The Ataka is a supersonic, radio-command guided missile designed to defeat modern tanks equipped with ERA
• tandem HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank) warhead
• missile has a range of up to 6 kilometers
• typically mounted on a remote weapon station (RWS) installed on the turret
  • allows the crew to operate the missile system from within the vehicle
• system is integrated with the BMP-3M's fire control system
