T-72M1 (Object 172M-E5)
T-72M1 export version for Warsaw Pact members
The T-72M1 (Object 172M-E5 / Ob'yekt 172M-E5) is a soviet export version, with thicker armour and similar to T-72A obr.1979g.
It is fitted with 7+5 smoke grenade dischargers on turret front. It was built in Poland and ex-Czechoslovakia.
It was the first export version of T-72A "proper"/"late", with the 172.10.073SB turret and the new 16-60-105-60 UFP composite.
