T-72M2 - Bulgarian Upgrade

The modernization program, unveiled at the HEMUS 2022 exhibition

  • New anti-radiation cladding
  • New rubber side skirts

• New C4I and IR suppression coating.

• Gun:

  • Main gun: 125 mm smoothbore gun (2A46) fitted with a light-alloy thermal sleeve and bore evacuator
  • Secondary armament: 7.62 mm PKT coaxial machine gun (250 rounds ready-to-use) and a 12.7 mm NSV machine gun mounted on the commander’s cupola

• Engine:

  • V-12 piston V-46-6 multi-fuel air-cooled, 780 hp
  • Speeds of up to 60 km/h
  • Range of up to 480-550 km
