The first prototype of the new M-84A4 Sniper was unveiled in 1996
This version includes:
- new SCS-84 day/night sight
- DBR-84 ballistic computer
- improved elevation and traverse sensors
- EFCS3-84L Fire-Control System (nicknamed Omega-84)
- new SGS-84 (SGS-84L, SCS-84 in other sources) gunner’s sight
- equipped with “LIDR” (Laser Identification and Detection Receiver) laser warning receivers
